6/30/2006 - Soccer

I love watching soccer but I can see why many people hate the game. I think it is all the fake dives players make in an effort to draw a big penalty that turns people off. It seems that the referees play too big a role in the game and a call by the ref can turn the game one way or another. Many times, these calls are the result of a stellar acting job by a player. This annoys even me. But despite the acting jobs, I still enjoy watching the game. For the most part, the game flows well. Every once in a while, you get one of these dives. I guess you have to take that as part of the game.
